Joy Group meets the second Tuesday of every month. It is open to anyone who is home during the day and wants to join for good fellowship. We’d love to have you join us!
In the past, we have chosen areas of the church that need attention and form a plan to make improvements, as well as select different outreach projects. One Christmas we elected to work with the Women’s Healing Place of Wake County in Raleigh. The mission at the Healing Place is to help these ladies find their way back from the bonds of addiction and back into society as productive individuals. That Christmas was their first sober Christmas, and we wanted to share in this mission of hope. We were given a list of ten children gathered from the mothers staying at the Healing Place. These ladies are usually there anywhere from 8 months to a year and have no financial means. The gifts we buy are given to the moms as their gifts to give to their children. They wrap them and put them under the tree at the Healing Place, where their children come to spend the day (usually a day or two before Christmas), opening presents, singing, eating, and just being with their moms.
