We have a unique blend of familiar traditional worship hymns as well as today’s contemporary praise songs.
Our music is led by our gifted music director and a variety of musicians and vocalists that help inspire our congregation and draw us into a wonderful atmosphere of worship.
Joy Group
Joy Group meets the second Tuesday of every month. It is open to anyone who is home during the day and wants to join for good fellowship. We’d love to have you join us!
Outreach Ministries
- Garner Area Ministries Food Collection – Every First Sunday please put your items in the designated basket in the Narthex. Suggested items include cereal, peanut butter, canned fruit, instant mashed potatoes, canned pasta, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, boxed mac and cheese, and canned meats.
- Aversboro Elementary Snack Collection – Every week please put your items in the designated basket in the Narthex. Suggested items include individually wrapped snack sized, non-refrigerated items – applesauce, chips, granola bars, cheese crackers, Nabs, pudding cups, fruit cups, fruit snacks, muffins, cookies, and plastic spoons for fruit cups.
- Pennies for Hunger – Spare change and cash donations are collected each fourth Sunday to support Garner Area Ministries.
- Aversboro School Angel Tree – Each year our congregation adopts children from Aversboro Elementary School that have been nominated by the Guidance Counselor. We purchase clothing and gifts and deliver them to the school for distribution to their parents to help brighten their Christmas. Our Angel Tree is a wonderful way we share love in our community.
- Annual Aversboro School Supply Drive – Every summer we host our Annual School Supply Drive to benefit staff and students at Aversboro Elementary School. We collect the most needed supplies, such as paper, pencils, pens, notebooks, crayons, etc. The supplies are delivered to the school the week prior to the first day of school for distribution as needed.
