Ernest Myatt Presbyterian Church Raleigh NC

At times there is nothing more fearful than not knowing the future.
When things change and things are not as they normally are, like now,
this can obviously result in being concerned about our lives and in
fact, downright frightening.

For many, many years, for the most part, our lives have been very
steady, very stable, and very predictable. For example, even though each
year and each season can have subtle changes, we have never looked ahead
not knowing what is exactly going to happen the way we do now.

The world of sports is different, the world of entertainment is
different. Even the way we do church is different. So much is very so
different, it is hard to know what to expect.  Again, result is a higher
degree of concern, stress, and anxiety.

However, even though we may not know our future, our God does.
Furthermore, God has always been faithful and we can trust that God
always will be.  In fact, we read in Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and
courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD
your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you.”

Friends, in these times of fear and uncertainty, know that God is aware
of our situation and aware of our need and will indeed be with us and
never, ever forsake us.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor John
