Dear Family and Friends,
One of the things that many people pride themselves on is their independence and their ability to make it on their own.
In many ways that is commendable and in many ways that is a good thing. It is good to be self reliant and good to be proactive in life and make something of ourselves. However, there are times that all of us need a little help.
Hence, one of the things that the Corona Virus has shown us all is how very vulnerable we all are. Even though we are resilient in many ways, we are finite and we are vulnerable to sickness and disease, harm and pain. Furthermore, we have needs that demand the help of others at time and even the help and dependence upon God.
As we continue through this time of uncertainty may we be comforted that as we draw close to God, God draws close to us. In fact, the hope that we have is that whatever we endure and whatever we experience, God’s presence and God’s love will never leave us.
Friends, we may not escape everything that comes our way, but as the scriptures remind us in Joshua 1:9 We are never alone in what we endure. “Be strong, be courageous, do not be afraid, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go!”
Grace and Peace,
Pastor John
