Dear Ernest Myatt Members and Friends,
The Session of Ernest Myatt Presbyterian church met
on Monday, March 16 th to discuss many of the concerns
surrounding current Corona Virus that is now apart of our
world and even our community. In light of the reality of this
pandemic and the many concerns, we have made the
decision to suspend our worship and other normal activities
in the church for the next two weeks or until the beginning of
April.
This suspension includes our Sunday worship, our
Wednesday night Children’s program (WIFF), choir practice,
AA and other small groups such as the Men of the Church
and other bible studies. It will also include the worship of the
Hispanic Church. The Church office will remain open during
this time. The church secretary, Peggy, and I will be here
working and people will be allowed to be in and out of the
building as needed. However, no small groups need to meet
during this time. The Session will meet again on Tuesday,
March 31st, to discuss our further plans and determine at
that point if we feel comfortable resuming our normal
schedule.
We do ask that you understand our decision as a means of
considering everyone’s safety. We also ask that you remain
faithful to us in thought, word and deed as we will remain
faithful to you.
