Stewardship is the time when we deal with the financial side of our church life, but it is also about more than just giving money. It is about making choices, as individuals and in a community. Stewardship is about being faithful disciples by caring and managing all God has given us, through the commitment of time, abilities, material resources, influence and involvement.
Ernest Myatt continues to show a spirit of unity in its mission and service to our church community and the world. Alongside our regular giving during the year the members of Ernest Myatt continue to support Garner Area Ministry, Meals on Wheels, Food Shuttle, Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes, and provide for those still struggling with the after effects of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The congregation of Ernest Myatt has provided the needed support to keep our staff employed, meet our missions and meet our financial obligations.
Now is the time for us to demonstrate our faithfulness to the cause for Christ here at Ernest Myatt as we enter our annual stewardship season. On behalf of the Session of Ernest Myatt, we, the Operations Committee, ask you to prayerfully consider your love for Christ and to reflect this love in your giving commitment for the next year.
Dedication Sunday will be October 29, 2017. Please bring your pledge cards to worship. If you are unable to attend this service, pledge cards can be mailed to the church office.
